Do you know the ways to apply for Maternity Benefit? How much money can you get? Is there any limitation? Step right up!!
*Requirements: 1. Application is available once you are the Insured of National Pension at delivery. 2. Wanna check if you are insured in National Pension?? Check if you have received a National Pension payment notice, or contact Bureau of Labor Insurance for confirmation.
*Amount of benefit: 1. The eligible will be paid with 2-month subsidy of 18,282 x 2 (months) =36,564 NTD, 4-month subsidy will be paid if you have twins, and so forth. 2. National Pension Maternity benefit: People giving birth on or after December 18th, 2015 will be paid with 2-month subsidy; people giving birth on/after July 1st, 2011 and before December 18th, 2015 will be paid with 1-month subsidy. (The monthly payroll of National Pension before 2015 is 17,280; From January 1st, 2015, the monthly payroll of National Pension is 18,282).
*Steps of Application: The “National Pension Maternity Benefit Application and Benefit Receipt” can be downloaded online on BLI website or can be fetched at local offices. Then, fill out the form and enclose document proofs and mail to BLI, or apply through the E-desk (Personal Declaration and Inquiry) on BLI website with your Citizen Digital Certificate. Choose either way to complete the application.
*Required documents: 1. Birth Certificate of infant. 2. Moms who have applied birth certificate for their babies need not to enclose birth certificates. BLI will actively inquire information from the Household database of Ministry of Interior; however, if you haven’t completed the applications, please do enclose another copy of birth certificate!
**Restrictions: 1. The male insured cannot claim the pregnancy subsidy on behalf of “Spouse’s Childbirth”. 2. Whoever defaults the National Pension cannot apply for Maternity Benefit. 3. If the insured apply for Maternity Benefit which is covered by National Pension, Labor’s Insurance and Farmer’s Health Insurance synchronically, the insured shall choose one benefit source. 4. Applicants should claim their applications within five years from the delivery/premature birth day.
