New Partner with Alishan Farmer Association-Facilitating Local Loan Application

Since its inception, the [Comprehensive Development Funds of Indigenous Peoples] has lent 25,779 entries of loans with an amount of NTD 8,251,880,000 in total. In order to get closer to the actual demands of business development of Indigenous People provide them with more convenient loan application services, since March 21, 2017, the Council of Indigenous Peoples has newly joined Alishan Farmer Association, Chiayi County as its target(borrower) of [Comprehensive Development Funds of Indigenous Peoples] loans. The members of Alishan Farmer Association have leaped to be the 220th administrative institution all over Taiwan. The administrative institutions list can refer to Appendix.

The [Comprehensive Development Funds of Indigenous Peoples] established by the Council of Indigenous Peoples was divided into [Economic Industry Loan for Indigenous Peoples], [Youth Entrepreneurship Loans for Indigenous Peoples], [Micro Economic Activity Loan] and other loans to provide the financing consulting for Indigenous Peoples to start their own businesses, develop economic businesses or improve life quality as well as pull through household turnover expecting to assist the sound development of Indigenous Peoples’ economic society and improve their life standards. If the Indigenous Peoples desire to apply for loans, they can choose to apply to workplace, public institution or place of domicile for that.

For the purpose of helping the Indigenous People gain the funds, there are aggregate 35 financial counselors over the country are accredited to different places to handle loan consulting, tutor in writing entrepreneurship business plan, assist in loan procedures, application extension measures for borrowers, provide continuous coaching for overdue lenders and bad debt expense promote the businesses of Credit Union for the Indigenous People, cooperate with undertaking agencies as well as create free financing consulting service hotline for Indigenous People, namely, 0800-508-188that is available for the Indigenous Peoples on a national scale. In addition, the Council of Indigenous Peoples will particularly remind Indigenous People that they should apply for loans in person instead of entrust others to do so in case of any defraud if they intend to borrow loans.
