Some of these Youngers were dedicated to second pouching the tribal farmland and others were taking the business models they’ve learned outside to the tribal agriculture to enhance agricultural output added values. Moreover, they had facilitated a 10-year contractual cooperation with Imei Foods of the popular [red quinoa] recently the products brought to the exhibition included the tea and coffee grown by the indigenous tribes in remote mountains. Due to the exceptionally advantage climate and soils, careful processing and adherence to sustainable development of the land, every drop of the tea and coffee was rich in natural fragrance,; besides, the traditional Indigenous Peoples’ healthy food once neglected by the masses but filled with the rich food cultures and wisdom such as crops, such as red quinoa, millet, pigeon pea and black rice, were also brought to people.
The Council of Indigenous Peoples stated that [Ka^so'ay] means [tastiest] in Ami language. We expected that the exhibition in HK would present the most natural and healthiest local food materials of Indigenous Peoples to the masses of HK, recognized as [Food Paradise] and make the unique indigenous flavor available for the domestic and foreign buyers present at the exhibition in order that every effort in cultivation could be deeply felt and the Indigenous Peoples styles and features be conveyed via the most familiar tastes.
