The Council of Indigenous Peoples Organized Praise and Achievement Presentation for Indigenous Language Rooting Plan of 2018

In order to praise the outstanding personnel participating in Indigenous Language Rooting Plan of 2018, the Council of Indigenous Peoples (hereinafter referred to as the Council) held Praise and Achievement Presentation at 14:00 on November 25, 2018 (Sunday) at Chipen Campus, National Taitung University. There were about 100 people attending the activity, including representatives from each county and city bureaus executing rooting plan, ethnic language guardian, home visitors and parents of ethnic language infants. The activity was warm and touching.

The excellent ethnic language guardian, home visitors and parents of ethnic language children praised were recommended by the applicants themselves or by home visitors or county and city governments and selected as excellent ethnic language guardian, home visitors and parents of ethnic language children by experts for praise. Additionally, the documentary of excellent ethnic language guardian and excellent ethnic language children were played to share the successful experience of ethnic language cultivation of every excellent ethnic language guardian, demonstrating ethnic language guardian and home visitors’ sense of mission for language inheritance.

The Council said that in order to master the golden age of early childhood language learning, the Indigenous Language Rooting Plan had been promoted since 2013. So far, 301 ethnic language guardians had been trained and 352 indigenous children had been accepted for care. In order to continue to improve this policy, the Council would continue to promote the Indigenous Language Rooting Plan in the year of 2019, striving to create a friendly environment for the literary language and the spoken language, thereby fulfilling the purpose of rooting down and inheriting the ethnic language, creating an atmosphere of reinvigorating the language!
