The wrap-up presentation of Lean Startup Plan of 2018 was held in Huashan 1914 Creative Park today (17th ) by the Council of Indigenous Peoples. It was presided over by the Icyang·Parod, and there were 20 new startups present for displaying their products and business philosophy. In this presentation, the Council specially invited the Tang Feng, the Councilor from the Executive Yuan who promoted social enterprises to come to the site and have a communication and sharing with the startups of Indigenous Peoples.
Director Icyang said that there were 5 cultural and creative entrepreneurs, 2 tourism entrepreneurs, 7 agricultural enterprises and 6 other new startups in this session, a total of 20 companies. For example, Fulai Creative Co. Ltd. innovates the traditional hunting knife, GS Forest Co., Ltd. leads people to experience the forest with their professional knowledge, Laishinai Co. Ltd. makes desserts with maqaw, ramie, green onion and other local food materials, and Cook Together Co. Ltd. serves meals with food materials from indigenous villages and creative French and Itlian cuisines.
Director Icyang further stated that each team would be given NT$ 1 million and 6 months of counseling supports for the promotion of lean startup, expecting to endow the indigenous entrepreneurs with market competitiveness, seeking for the economic basis of cultural inheritance for tribes through starting a business and realize the mission of cultural inheritance and environmental sustainability. The Council would continue to play as the strongest supporting on the way of entrepreneurship of indigenous people, so that they and those with dreams of entrepreneurship could fulfill their goal with the help of the Council, thereby jointly promoting the industrial development of the Indigenous Peoples. A total of 80 new startups were generated thanks to the 4 sessions of the startup plans.
