The 2019 Indigenous Peoples environment-friendly Agriculture Polymorphic Model value-added Promotion Program initiated by The Council of Indigenous Peoples shall begin to accept applications from the present day to January 15, 2019. In order to let the indigenous people know the application process and relevant matters needing attention, the Council would handle 6 proposal presentation meetings on a national scale. The first proposal presentation meeting would be held at TTMAKER in Taitung at 9:30 today (14th) and the following five meetings would be held in Zhongzheng Hall, Yuli Town, Hualien County on December 14th, the Council of Indigenous Peoples on December 18th, Conference Room, Taipu District Office, Taichung City on December 18th, Multimedia Briefing Room, Yilan County on December 21st and Audiovisual Classroom on the 3rd floor of Indigenous Peoples Culture Hall on December 22nd one after another.
Director Icyang·Parod said that in order to encourage and continue to guide the agricultural economic base, cultural heritage and environmental sustainability of the indigenous people, the “Indigenous Peoples environment-friendly Agriculture Polymorphic Model value-added Promotion Program” was processed through 2016-2018. By subsidizing the improvement of production equipment, cultivating organic and environment-friendly agricultural cultivation technology, enhancing the value of environment-friendly agricultural products, and integrating and expanding transportation and marketing channels, 48 indigenous agricultural organizations were subsidized to obtain the funds of up to NT $1.5 million, which would upgrade the development opportunities of agricultural entrepreneurship and diversified industries in the next year (2019). The 2019 Indigenous Peoples environment-friendly Agriculture Polymorphic Model value-added Promotion Program would also be held next year.
Icyang emphasized that the Council would continue to coach indigenous villages in the agricultural development with strong infrastructure, technological smart valued-added and industrial technology through the amount of successful cases in the past.
Proposal Presentation Meeting in Taitung invited Indigenous Peoples cooperatives, farms, legal persons, organizations or groups and 70% of Indigenous Peoples class members in agricultural production and sales classes engaging in agriculture to participate in it so as to facilitate the understanding of application processes and matters needing attention, thereby strengthening the investment and tutoring the Indigenous Peoples strategies for creating new businesses in agriculture and further creating employment and development opportunities for the agricultural industry for indigenous villages.
